Crispy deep-fried sticky rice sweetened and held together with palm sugar. Filled with homemade vanilla bean coconut ice cream and topped with passion fruit pulp. Wrapped with a strip of pandan-flavored agar-agar jelly coated with toasted sesame seeds.

(Glutinous rice was soaked over night, steamed, colored purple, air-dried, deep-fried, mixed with melted palm sugar, formed into a triangular bowl with a matching top, then set aside for the palm sugar to harden.)

Beverage: Iced passionflower tisane colored with purple food coloring and sweetened with wildflower honey.

Sticky, chewy, steamed glutinous rice cake traditionally served around the Chinese Lunar New Year.

Water, coconut milk, dark brown sugar, and glutinous rice flour were used to make this version of nian gao.

Beverage: Teavana’s ’Emperor’s Clouds and Mist’ green tea. Unsweetened.

Spiced pumpkin seed macarons (both pumpkin-shaped and round) filled with pumpkin spice whipped cream. Served with scoops of Dreyer's® Pumpkin Spice Latte ice cream and vanilla whipped cream.

Ground and toasted pumpkin seeds were used in place of the almond flour commonly used to make macarons. The whipped cream was made with Starbucks VIA® Instant Pumpkin Spice Latte.

so, that… yeah sorry, i type so much. i don’t expect anyone to read all of these. i do like that i actually come into some of these posts going all, RAEG, and then i sit down to type and end up calming myself in the process. which is fantastic, because otherwise i say something pretty stupid.

In a double boiler, Ritter Sport dark chocolate was melted and combined with Biscoff creamy cookie butter, molasses, honey, and ground spices (cinnamon, ginger, and cloves), then whisked with heated milk. The finished hot chocolate was poured into a glass rimmed with icing and gingerbread shaped sprinkles. Served with a few gingerbread marshmallows and a Godiva gingerbread truffle pierced with a cassia cinnamon stick.
